About Me!

Hello, and thank you for checking out Promising Positivity! My name is Nicole, and I am pretty much just your average girl from Pittsburgh in her 30's, trying to make sense of this thing called "life".

A Pittsburgh native, I live with my husband and two rescue pups in the city. My day-to-day j-o-b is in the financial field which really doesn't do much for me passion-wise, but I enjoy  what I do - for the most part, anyway. However, I am one of those people that is always searching to better herself, do more, and find adventure  - and that doesn't always work to my benefit (but makes for great blog posts!)

My dogs are my children and a visit to my Facebook page or Instagram will not make a liar out of me. I'm convinced we were all brought together for a reason and feel a tremendous connection with them, and animals in general. Fuzzy things are the best! - except for legs or underarms....handle your business, ladies.

They say the older you get, the wiser you become - but sometimes I really wish that I was wiser in years past. As I look back at my teens, and my 20's, it is clear as day where mistakes were made, fun was had, and lessons were learned but it's not always simple to carry those lessons into our futures. It should be simple - but when it comes to goal digging, and making major moves and changes in life I still find myself not heeding warnings or not trusting myself.

But isn't that all of us?

As we get older we seem to lose sight of the fun joys in life, and instead replace that with a focus on deadlines, what's for dinner, and getting the kids to soccer and dance practice. We lose sight of the very amazingness that makes us who we are. We lose sight of our passions and that which makes us feel alive because the only thing we can focus on is the fact that "Friday is coming". And then we do nothing on Friday but sit at home and watch Netflix (guilty!)

The goal of Promising Positivity is to be a place that you can go to laugh, get inspired, tap into Y-O-U again and re-discover your vigor for making your life something truly amazing. After all, we are only given one of these journeys and it is no one's job but our own to make it something worth living.

Thanks again for stopping by, and don't forget to follow me on social media!
